TransFabulous at The Minneapolis Central Library 300 Nicollet Mall: Trans Youth Writer's Workshop with Zine Making Application Saturdays, June 3-July 8 1-4 p.m. Passionate about creative writing and zine making, and want to meet other youth dedicated to dismantling the binary? Then come to this six-week workshop where each week a question on gender identity and politics will be proposed. Using independent and collaborative writing, write in a safe environment and discover new facets of gender identity. Partner: Transforming Families. North Country Gaylaxians Book Club @Quatrefoil Library:
This GLBTQ Science Fiction/Fantasy book club meets the second Tuesday of each month at Quatrefoil from 7:00pm – 9:00pm on June 13

 

Game Night @Quatrefoil Library:
Attend a Game Night at the Quatrefoil Library. There will be board games as well as card games.  If you have a game you like to play, please bring it with you and share with others. Bring a friend with and come have some fun.

LGBTQ Club at HLC East Lake Library that will be held the second Friday of each month on June 9, July 14 & August 11. This is an hour for teens to gather in a welcoming space to hang out, play games, make art, and meet friends. The club meets from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Upcoming activities include exploring books & poetry, making buttons, and the club also hopes to host a teen author. Click here for more info and other events

 

 

 

Pride Storytime at HLC East Lake Library on Saturday July 8th.  This event is for families of all ages. We will read stories celebrating pride parades, families, and gender expression, and sing and move together. There will be an accompanying craft. Click here for more info and other events

 

TransFabulous workshops at HLC East Lake Library for adults & teens this summer. East Lake is proud to have a 5 week workshop for teens: Creating Comics, on Wednesdays from July 5-August 2 from 1:00-3:00 pm. Teens who attend will explore with artist Anna Bongiovanni how comics are created, from character design to storytelling to publication, and use their personal story and voice to create many short comics and produce a final mini-comic.
